Community Garden

Groups have begun harvesting fresh vegetables from our community garden to share with Grace Network. Work continues most Saturday mornings and on some weekdays. Call Toni Tollison to coordinate volunteering.

The early service continues througout the spring and summer at 8:45- 9:30 AM with the exception of Palm Sunday, Easter and Pentecost

Ornament
A special ornament has been created in observance of the church's 75th anniversary. They are available for purchase at $15 for one or $12.50 each for two or more.

Anniversary Year

2010 will mark the 75th anniversary of Starling Avenue Baptist Church. The history committee would appreciate volunteers to help comb through the picture files and to help digitize documents for preservation. The anniversary homecoming will be the first Sunday in November.

HAITI
Pray for the people of Haiti and for the workers who have gone to help them recover from the devastating earthquake.
You may contribute to relief of those suffering through the church. Mark an envelop "Haiti." Contributions will go through Virginia Baptists with 100% being used for relief.
You may also contribute online through Baptist World Alliance. or the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship.

Choir Sunday
The adult choir will lead the 11:00 AM worship service on August 29, presenting a number of anthems under the direction of Ran Minter, accompanied at the organ by Judy Strickland Minter.
