Annual Mission Offering

2008 Goals

Between Advent, 2007 and Pentecost, 2008 we hope to raise $12,000 for the annual mission offering which will be divided among local, state and global mission projects. These gifts have been divided in the folllowing ways

• 48% will be used locally to help people in our community
  
• 25% will be used in global mission projects
• 13% will support the Virginia Baptist Alma Hunt Mission Offering
• 7% will support members who go do hands on mission projects
  

In the global missions projects we will work throught the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship , the Alliance of Baptists and support a Baptist World Alliance hunger project.

The Virginia portion went to missions through the Alma Hunt Virginia Baptist Mission Offering.

The local mission portion is supporting the ecumenical crisis response Grace Network, the Horne Home , and  Habitat of Martinsville and Henry County.
