Other Helpful Links BibleThe New Revised Standard Version is now available over the internet. J. B. Phillips NT Bible Gateway provides a variety of translations and concordance services. Bible.org provides links to over 3500 Bible resources from a variety of perspectives as well as the first Bible translation to be published on the internet before it was in paper. Netministries provides Biblical Words pronunciation. Just look up the word or type it in, then click on it and hear it pronounced. Bible lesson resources are provided on-line from the American Bible Society. A website for the three-year cycle of lectionary readings is provided on-line by the Vanerbilt Divinity School. Our church uses the lectionary for worship.
Baptist sites Baptist Resources from the Center for Baptist Studies at Mercer University offers a wealth of information on Baptist history and theology. Baptists Today provides an on-line edition of news and commentary.
General Resources Christian Classics is an amazing "ethereal library" collecting ancient and modern Christian writings from St. Augustine to John Bunyan, from Ambrose to Chesterton. It also includes the texts of hymns from many sources. Beliefnet is an encycopedia of resources and information topics from world religions to church growth, discipleship development to Bible studies. In spite of the advertising, it is a worthshile site. Textweek compiles links to commentary, hymns, art, and interpretation arranged according to lectionary readings for coming weeks. Liturgy: Christian worship & spirituality is an international and ecumenical resource for worship, teaching and spirituality.
